Winter, late Fall, and early Spring, riding can be a great experience when the beach and weather conditions line up just right.

Please be sure to check the latest schedule on our Hours page. When the schedule shows “Open On-Demand,” it means we are closed by default due to slower seasonal activity. However, it also indicates that conditions may still be ideal for quality riding.

If you plan to visit and rent equipment during an “Open On-Demand” day, we strongly recommend contacting us in advance to share your intended date and time. This allows us to review the beach conditions and weather forecast to ensure everything is safe and suitable for your visit at FunCycles.

WHY RIDE IN THE WINTER?

The winter solstice brings several seasonal changes—shorter daylight hours, higher overall tide levels, shorter low-tide windows, king tide advisories, sneaker-wave risks, and generally wetter conditions.

Still, when the conditions line up just right, winter can be an incredible time to explore Cannon Beach. There are fewer visitors, the skies can be beautifully clear, the cooler temperatures help keep riders comfortable, and things tend to move at a more relaxed pace here at FunCycles.
